It is the only village at sea level along the West Coast, because the coastline is so rugged and steep. The village consists of one main street down to the sea. There are many restaurants and tavernas, and small minimarkets and souvenir shops, along the main street. There is some parking at the top of the street, but at the bottom of the street near to the sea parking is very difficult - especially in high season. The village is very busy during July and August, but can be very quiet outside of the main season. If you are familiar with this place , please share your opinion of it with other travelers.
